Review Toyota Avalon 2013

It can be understood that the power that is at Toyota Motor Sales would not relate to their brand new Avalon compared with the same measure, and fresh period as the Lexus ES. Trust us - we asked and refused. Of course, do not be afraid TMS Avalon ES class, because that's how it should rotate out, so that the former is derived from the blue blood of blue collar last Lexus and Toyota. No, the refusal came from what they know and, having driven both what we know: Avalon - designed, developed and manufactured in the U.S. - is better.

Let's start with performance objectives. Second-class sedan at 111.0 inches wheelbase platform and share the same powertrain - 3.5-liter 268 horsepower V-6 with six-speed automatic transmission and 2.5-liter 156-hp I-4 with 141 hp electric motor and CVT - but Avalon is superior in particular treatment. At the sight of the side grip, Limited V-6 (0.80 g) and hybrid clutches Limited (0.76) easily exceed their friends or suitable ES (0.76 - V-6, hybrid). And in our tests eight points - true barometer of confidence in the driver - Avalon V-6 and hybrid hit them with intelligence, 0.3 and 0.2 seconds, respectively. Rem 60-0 cleaved by Avalon V-6 is a smaller diameter than the ES-6 and V hybrid Avalon requires two additional legs in relation to the hybrid ES. Speed 0-60 is a good tie (7.6 seconds if mixing) or 0.2 seconds advantage ES V-6 (6.0 vs 6.2). Fuel consumption at 21/31 mpg city / highway for the V-6s and 40/39 for a hybrid - equally.

Back seat requires special attention, not only because Toyota will offer a version of this challenge a go-around. With the collapse of Car City, which covers about 80 percent of the sale sedan, Toyota saw a big opportunity for the big chair, great mileage Avalon. Speaking about the cabin we started with bingo-parlor past internal Avalon, some of which feature front bench seat, column mounted shifter, and a tape deck. The new model has a light on the cluster and the other time in the future. They were called Quadrabeam halogen lamp HID for xle and Limited. Comment on two pairs of square-shaped projections, 2013 offers a modern concept, technology, LED lighting, and "capacitive" button, which should only be touched, not pressed. Buyer’s bingo from previous gene, with an average age of around 65, it is not possible to receive the modern amenities new car shoppers median, Toyota of the project must be at least 10 years younger. They are less creaky buyers will no doubt appreciate the finer Optitron instrument gauge, smart key with initial balance press the button, and the lighting Ebin to store hand tools, and a coupe like roof line that adds pizzazz without jeopardizing wavy rear headroom or the amount of luggage actually, swell 0.4 inches rear headroom and cargo capacity grows 1.6 cubic meters to be 16.0 (14.0 to battery hybrid parent). Shoppers of all ages, though, should appreciate 10 standard air sacs - including two front knee and rear side - and the pre-violation and blind-spot warning system is available with through traffic.

While we were not too impressed with the refinement and dynamics of the Hybrid, a buzzy I-4, with artificial brakes, and more relaxed chassis make it less attractive, we are obviously pleased with the 6-cylinder. It may be hard to believe, but the new Avalon V-6 feels similar to the Acura TL or Mazda6. The present electric power steering on center feel and linearity fun. Four-wheel disc brakes provide solid and convincing progressive pedal. Strut suspension provides a ride that make strong and sporty sedan staggering 3,525-lb flat through corners. Rigid body (now 12 percent stiffer overall, according to Toyota) allows the chassis efficiently perform its duties, all while keeping comfortable cabin that also because the majority thanks to dual-pane acoustic-type glass used for the windshield and front side windows.
